City Sightseeing bus tours get new stops in Johannesburg

CITY SIGHTSEEING BUS ADDS MORE ATTRACTIONS TO ROUTE

Tourists wanting to experience Gauteng’s iconic red City Sightseeing bus will now get even more than they bargained for as new stops have been added to the tour route.

The hop-on hop-off Red Tour Bus launched the addition of new stops on its Johannesburg-Soweto routes at the end of October, tourism update reports.

“As the country marks Transport Month in October, the interrelation between transport and tourism in fuelling sustained economic growth cannot be overemphasised,” South African Tourism said.

“This expansion bodes well for tourism growth and development in the Golden Province. It cements Gauteng’s leading position as a bleisure destination and brings to the fore the unique destination offerings of township tourism, history and heritage, and the essence of brand Gauteng, which is its people,” the tourism body added.

WHERE ARE THE NEW STOPS?

The new stops on the Johannesburg-Soweto tour includes:

  • Melrose Arch
  • Nelson Mandela Foundation, Mandela Sanctuary and Nelson Mandela House in Houghton.
  • Soccer City and the South African Hall of Fame Museum.
  • Soweto Brewing Company @ ubuntu kraal.

HERMANUS GETS A NEW TOUR

In other news from City Sightseeing, the tour company just recently launched a new Explorer Tour which offers visitors and tourists a truly memorable experience around the beautiful town of Hermanus.

The tours started out in July, with day trips every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and includes:

  • Panoramic views of Hermanus and Walker Bay
