Here’s all the proof one needs that it was a stunning day in South Africa yesterday…taken from the International Space Station by British astronaut Tim Peake.
Tim, who’s currently living and working on the Space Station for six months, uploaded this photo to Facebook an hour ago.
He said: “Lovely pass-by South Africa yesterday – still in awe of Eddie Izzard running 27 marathons across that stretch of land!”
Tim is himself an enthusiastic cross-country runner. And when he’s not zooming around the planet, he enjoys running… as well as skiing and scuba diving.
This photo is from expedition 46/47 for the European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut and test pilot.
