Who knew we could get lessons in parenting from the king (well queen) of the jungle?! Watch this lion demonstrate magical motherly love… when her little cub wakes her up in the middle of (we’re sure) a much-needed nap! And below is another mother lion disciplining her toddler for its own sake (and safety) without worrying about being “mean mommy”.
The video below was filmed in Djuma Game Reserve (part of Sabi Sand) in Mpumalanga Province of South Africa, and the videographer can be heard in the background saying “this is so magic”!
The lioness apparently goes by the name Amber Eyes (although she may not know that!). The YouTube caption says “When I’m trying to enjoy a nap, the last thing I want is to be woken up… That’s why I completely would’ve understood if this lion mama had gotten a little peeved with her baby for disturbing her much-needed slumber.”
Instead the lioness reacted in the sweetest possible way…
