Bloemfontein in the Free State, South Africa, was struck by a heavy hailstorm and some desperately needed rain on Thursday.
According to locals it didn’t last long, but it “really came down”.
Brenden Nel, rugby editor for SuperSport, uploaded a couple of videos to You Tube, including one in which a car can be seen getting pelted by hail stones. “Yeah, that’s my car caught in it,” he tweeted.
In parts of Bloem, cars were damaged as ice and water hampered traffic.
