A young man in Polokwane is inspiring South Africans as he happily harvests his potato crop for the first time ever. With hard work, and by swallowing his pride, Wiston Malema has gone from destitute to making his dreams come true.

His friend, Jara Masubelele, told Wiston’s story on facebook yesterday, and uploaded some photos of the happy occasion.

Jara said: “Yesterday I had to visit a friend of mine who has 6.6 hectares of land and he does potatoe farming.

“Broke as he was, he requested help of a neighbour – a white farmer known as Gert. Gert, without jealousy or moya, helped my friend with all he could.

“Now yesterday he was harvesting the first time and I’m proud to serve young people like him. Cause he never marched for employment but he created one, penniless as he was.

“Big up Wiston Malema. We are proud of You and We are inspired.”
