If you know anybody in those areas, please let them know.

In the meantime, the Municipality ask that for safety reasons, everyone remain indoors as much as possible today.

The Knysna Municipality also issued an urgent call for “volunteers with vehicles / trucks / taxis/ bakkies etc to help transfer people from the Chris Nissen collection point to Khayalethu Hall. Please go there directly and take the N2 back to form a circular route.”

The N2 between Knysna and George is closed until further notice.

The Municipality asks that locals in the area please do not attempt to try and drive to George, Sedgefield or Knysna.
