NekNation Make a Difference: South Africa

South Africans are being  called on to turn the NekNomination phenomenon into a positive social movement! And we can spread it around the world!

A spokesperson for NekNation said “we believe South Africa should become the forefront of this moment.”

South Africa has been singled out thanks to the inspiring video made by Brent Lindeque which has made global headlines.

Instead of downing a drink, which were the game rules…and which resulted in a couple of tragic deaths, Brent used the social media game to do a good deed and highlight a serious issue that affects so many South Africans – poverty. (View Brent’s video below.)

Since his video went viral, other South Africans have posted similar good-deed videos, donating food and clothes to those who need them. One expat in the UK, Greg Brand, says “Brent’s video has reached us and already inspired a few of us here in the UK. I’m hoping it goes a lot further.” (View Greg’s video below.)

And now we are calling on ALL SOUTH AFRICANS around the world to do the same thing please.

AND, if you’re overseas, nominate somebody of a different nationality so that we spread our fantastic South African ‘ubuntu’ all over the planet.
