South African laughs her way into first place with JoyBurg Proposal!

Joy Activist and Laughter Coach, Sue Jameson, has just laughed her way into first place – in an international competition – with her brilliant proposal that will help turn Joburg, the so-called Unfriendliest city in the world, into JoyBurg, the city of Joy.
Sue had been saddened to read that Joburg had been named as the unfriendliest city in the world by Conde Naste Traveler…especially since she had just launched her JOYburg initiative to renew, rejuvenate, rejoice and transform Johannesburg.
But thanks to winning the Vodacom #Firsts competition (which was open to residents of Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Qatar, Romania, South Africa, Spain and the United Kingdom), Sue is on her way to achieving her dream for Joburg.
The competition, which Sue happened to see on 30 July, asked “Are you ready to do something life-changing? Vodacom want to help people do things for the First time because Firsts keeps the world interesting. They help us progress and discover.”
Two months later, and after three weeks of public voting for the eight finalists, Vodacom made the following announcement: “We’re delighted to announce that Sue Jameson received a staggering 37 % of the votes. Thanks to voters’ support her First is going to take place for real.”
And her #First is?
“My #First is to organise a laughter flash mob and set a world record with the most people laughing together. Laughter truly is the best medicine, and the antidote to stress, so at the same time we will be changing lives and transforming our city from Joburg, the unfriendly city into JOYburg, the City of Joy!”
Sue truly wants to do something life-changing – for the citizens and city of JOYburg. We will be reporting on her progress – and the date and venue of her record-breaking laughter flash mob – as plans unfold.
