Kevin Anderson will face Scottish Andy Murray in the Finals of the Aegon Championships at Queens Club in London this afternoon.

The South African, with the legendary big serve, has enjoyed a great tournament this week – triumphing over Australian Lleyton Hewitt in the first round before making world headlines when he knocked out recent French Open champion, Swiss Stanislas (Stan) Wawrinka, in straight sets in the second round.

Yesterday Anderson beat French player Gilles Simon in the semi-finals to earn his place on the court today for the Finals.

The 29-year-old, who is ranked 17th in the world, told ATP World Tour: “I definitely felt I have been serving great this week. I am working hard on my serve always. I generally am serving pretty well. I think I have definitely been able to feel like maybe at a higher level this week.

“I think at this point it’s more just about the rhythm and the way it feels. I really feel it’s been clicking the last few matches. You know, it’s not something that a coach or somebody can maybe look at and see any difference from where I was serving two weeks ago. But just the way it feels, even though it feels the same, obviously the rhythm must be quite good right now.”

This will be Anderson’s 10th ATP World Tour final and his first on grass.

Murray is a three-time champion on home soil, and most recently beat Anderson at the 2015 Miami Open in the USA.

UPDATE 21 June 2015 at 17:00: Andy Murray won today’s match in two sets 6-3, 6-4.
