A fab picture of American rocker Steven Tyler during his trip to South Africa in December 2014 has been posted by the V&A Waterfront today.
Some lucky fans (or children of fans!) posed for a photo with him at the Louis Vuitton store at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.
The Aerosmith frontman – with global hits such as “Come Together”, “Cryin'” and “Walk This Way” – recently released his latest solo single “Love is Your Name”…in which he follows his muse like he’s done his entire career. (Watch below.)
This track is his first foray into country music although Steven told reporters he has long been influenced by country. “I came from a family that was a touring band…I grew up as a young boy with my pet raccoon and with my slingshot.”
Steven’s popularity is often attributed not only to his talent, but his humility too. Just two weeks ago, on 7 July, he posted the photo below of himself with former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, with a message saying: “THE PART OF ME THAT KNOWS HE’S A BEATLE STILL CAN’T BELIEVE THAT I’M STANDING NEXT TO HIM…I LOVE YOU MY DEAR FRIEND…HAPPY BIRTHDAY…AND THANK YOU FOR CHANGING MY WORLD AND THE WORLD #PEACEANDLOVE”
Steven’s trip in December – to perform with Kings of Chaos – was his first to South Africa.
