The Sharks finished third in their World Club 10s debut by beating the Italian All Stars 26-7. The top two spots in the invitational tournament were dominated by the Australians – with Perth’s Western Force beating Canberra’s Brumbies who had won the inaugural Club 10’s tournament in Singapore.

The 8-team, 10-aside competition – with hashtag #rugbyinparadise – was held at Anjalay Stadium, featuring some of the greatest leagues in the world including Super Rugby, The English Premiership and France’s Top 14.

Aside from the Sharks, Western Force and Brumbies the other teams were Saracens (UK), Africa Pacific Dragons (from Africa and the Pacific), Toulon (France) and Euskadi (France).
