Dreams do come true! On social media! There have been a lot of #ProudlySouthAfrican and #ProudlyCapetonians on Twitter in the past 24 hours since American singer Meghan Trainor responded to a South African video performed to her hit “Me Too”.

The awesome video, showcasing South Africa’s talent, went viral rapidly and has had over 670,000 views on YouTube and Facebook in less than three days!

And as fans rushed to congratulate Capetonian choreographer Rudi Smit for his incredible moves, Meghan Trainor chipped in and said “me too”.

 

Meghan tweeted a message to Rudi saying: “WOW WOW WOW UNBELIEVABLE ?????? slay my life! #MeToo #RudiSmit”

Isn’t that awesome???

Rudi replied: “Yassss!!! I am so glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you so much for the support. We LOVE your music! #MeghanTrainorDanceSA #MeToo”

It’s mission accomplished for internationally-acclaimed Rudi who had written on Facebook: “Please help us get this concept & idea to Meghan Trainor so that she can see what talent we have here in SA 🙂

The video was filmed at Norman Henshilwood High School and Milnerton High School in the Western Cape.
