A ring – most probably a wedding ring – was discovered on a beach in the Western Cape in mid-December 2016. As the owner has still not been traced, the search has now turned to social media in a bid to return the romantic ring.
Tracy Curnick de Beer posted this message a few days ago: “My brother Tony Curnick came across this ‘wedding’ ring on a beach in the Cape whilst treasure hunting (mid December 2016).
“The image is not very clear but please share it and maybe we can find its owner. The owner was apparently looking for the ring and gave up when the light ran out.
“If any Capetonians belong to community groups on FB, please share the post there too. (Would love to reunite the ring with this desperate seeker, as I know I would be devastated if I lost mine. It is definitely a unique hand crafted ring).”
