On the 6th of April 2017, at Ahmed Kathrada’s memorial service – held at the St George’s Cathedral in Cape Town – members from the civil society, religious groups, as well as the recently axed Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan joined in spirit to unroot corruption and ask for their president, Jacob Zuma, to step down.
