Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton – otherwise known as their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – have said in a statement that they are “very pleased” to announce that they are expecting their third child!

In the press statement, issued by Kensington Palace, they revealed that the Queen and members of both families are “delighted” with the news.

As with her previous two pregnancies, Kate is unfortunately suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. This means she has already had to cancel an engagement she had scheduled for today.

“The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace,” said the Palace.

Kate was seen just days ago, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana, who would have been her mother-in-law:
