Family friend Christy Du Preez-Hammond posted a message yesterday saying Siam was last seen on the afternoon of Thursday 4 January 2018, when she went missing outside her workplace on Margaret Maytom Avenue in Durban North. A work colleague apparently saw her leaving. She did not return home.

Durban North Police Spokesperson Capt Raymond Deokaran, told NorthGlen News: “A case of missing persons has been opened and we are currently looking for the young woman. We found her shoes at the scene of where she was last seen. We are appealing to anyone with information to contact the station on 031 560 8049 and ask for me or Capt Mundree.”

It is unclear whether she left voluntarily or was abducted. According to a  Facebook post by friend, Sue Foster, CCTV footage shows that Siam was allegedly abducted around 3pm by the male driver of a Black Vito van.

The van has a GP registration number, and Sue has asked anyone with Johannesburg friends to please share the post with them as they have reason to believe the car may be heading that way.

Family friend Christy wrote on Facebook today: “Siam Lee is still missing. We don’t know the story, we don’t know where she is. We don’t know what’s going on. All I know is that her and her mother are family friends of ours and I care a lot for her and her mother. For her safe return.

“Unfortunately we live in a country where you automatically think the worst. At this stage we have no new info or leads. I am appealing to anybody with any news about her where abouts. Please contact Mike Myers from Mobi Claw or the Durban North Police Station on 031 560 8000. Detective Gordon Pillay.”

Siam has dark brown curly hair, green eyes and wears a lip ring on her bottom right lip. She was last seen wearing a cream cotton dress.
