A man has been filmed riding a shopping trolley at around 60km per hour down a residential road in Durban, South Africa!
Local uMgeni Park resident, Terry Lewis, uploaded the video with the title: “60km per hour on a shopping trolley. Only in Africa.”
According to his caption on YouTube, Terry filmed the footage just after lunch on Wednesday.
He said: “He was doing around 60km/h. I couldn’t believe it when I began driving down Browns Drift Road – he was cruising. He didn’t look perturbed that I was behind him. He kept checking to see how close I was to him and I lost sight of him as we neared the traffic lights.”
Terry told the Northglen News that it was the first time he’d seen someone “trolley surfing” down the sloping road… although as a teen, he would skateboard down it himself!
