According to Cele, Errol Velile Present is linked to the heist and other crimes.  Present – together with three others – was arrested this week in connection with the CIT heist in Dobsonville.

Cele said: “The law knows no affiliation or race.”

He said he welcomes the arrest of the Luthuli House employee, and that the law must take its course no matter who the person is or where they work.

Present and others appeared in court on Wednesday. The suspects are expected to apply for bail by the end of the month.

Cele says Present has escaped court processes and the cases he was linked with before.

“What we’ve established is that Velile is linked to another cash heist before this, there’s another case in process of drunk driving. So, we’ve established that he’s a usual lawbreaker,” said Cele.
