South African Deputy President, David Makhura will lead South Africa to the international AIDS conference in Amsterdam.

This is the 22nd Aids conference and the deputy president is the chairperson of South African National Aids council which coordinates SA’s response in HIV/AIDS epidemic.

The event is set to start on Monday.

The conference theme is: Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges .

“At Aids 2018, South African researchers and programme leaders would release new resources and announcements demonstrating South Africa’s strong commitment to end Aids. Mabuza would be accompanied by Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi”, the presidency said.
