Now this is something you don’t get in a lot of countries! Supermarket staff that burst into song! But it’s been known to happen around South Africa – at supermarkets and petrol stations. And today lucky shoppers in KwaZulu-Natal were delighted when they were graced with a staff performance.

Durban artist Sam Cross was doing her regular Friday afternoon shopping at the Pick ‘n Pay Hyper by the Sea when “next minute I heard some singing and rushed over!”

“Day made. Thank you. ??” she wrote on Facebook, where she posted this video.

“It was just such a lovely moment,” she told SAPeople.
