The first official trailer for the much anticipated ‘Friends Reunion Special’ is out, and fans worldwide – including in South Africa – are loving it! Watch below… although be prepared for a few tears. As Rachel star, Jennifer Anniston, says: “Where’s the tissue box?”
The trailer includes all six friends reuniting, reminiscing and revisiting the Emmy-winning show’s most iconic sets.
The comedy TV series has fans of all ages. It originally aired between 1994 and 2004… but has since gathered new generations of fans through its successful reruns (currently on Netflix).
All six core members of the cast are back: Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer; as well as recurring guest stars like Elliott Gould (Ross and Monica’s dad), Reese Witherspoon (Rachel’s younger sister) and Tom Selleck (Monica’s one-time boyfriend) and Maggie Wheeler (Chandler’s ex Janet!).
Other special guests include James Corden (seen in the trailer hosting a Q&A with the Friends stars), David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler and Malala Yousafzai.
The show will be broadcast in the US on 27 May.
