A foster home for a dog in Johannesburg is urgently needed, after it was abandoned by its ‘family’ who moved abroad.
Friend of the Rottweiler Rescue & Re-home South Africa have posted a heartbreaking message and photo, explaining:
“This wonderful girl’s entire life turned upside down when her “family” abadoned her and left her on their rented property when they went overseas.
This (photo, not pictured here) is her kennel an hour ago, full of blood from severe gastro from stress. She was so weak and cold and has been hospitalized.
We are praying she makes it through – she has been stabilized.
Once she is well enough to be discharged we need an urgent foster home for her.
We need a miracle – a foster home with no other dogs as she is not well enough for us to do introductions.
We will only discharge her once she is well – however our condition with fosters is that they can get her to our vets in Boksburg Craig View Veterinary Clinic if needed.
We will provide all food and cover costs.
We require a foster for 4 weeks minimum.
We remain responsible for all costs.
