On Friday, Carl Niehaus picketed at the special ANC meeting at NASREC, holding a poster (which he later tweeted) saying ‘Ramaphosa Must Go’. Today it turned out it’s Niehaus who must go! The MK Veteran and former ANC NEC member has been expelled from the ANC by its National Disciplinary Committee (NDC).
The NBC said Niehaus “failed to show remorse” during a disciplinary hearing.
Niehaus describes himself on Twitter as a “Patriotic South African, and committed member of the African National Congress (ANC). MK Veteran and former ANC NEC member. Member of the NEC of MKMVA. Father.”
He tweeted on Monday afternoon that he has already appealed “the travesty of justice of my illegal expulsion by the ANC National Disciplinary Committee (NDC).”
Niehaus added that “because I have appealed, the farcical expulsion is suspended. I remain a full member of @MYANC. A LUTA CONTINUA! ✊?“
