The much-anticipated trial finally got under way in the Durban Regional Court on Monday, 27 March, but was adjourned to Wednesday, 29 March, as reported by The South African website.

Moloi handed himself over to police after images of him carrying a basket of items out of the Glenwood Woolworths that was being looted went viral on social media.

MBUSO MOLOI WILL BE SENTENCED IN LATE MAY

He was then seen loading the groceries into his luxury Mercedes Benz car.

In addition, his vehicle was attached by the Asset Forfeiture Unit as it was deemed a tool used to commit a crime.
