Self-proclaimed millionaire and fraud accused Sandile Shezi said he is not on the run from the law, but will be running for president in the 2024 elections.

According to City Press, the controversial forex trader, who is believed to be 31, announced he would run for president in next year’s general elections with a party, which will officially launch on 24 May – Vukani Ma-Africa.

Shezi, who was reportedly on the run after many people dragged him to court for fraud, told a press conference that he was not on the run from the law and his presence at the conference was proof.

Shezi’s party will focus on South Africa’s youth and their role in shaping the country’s future. He said he would be visiting all nine provinces to engage with young solutions-oriented people.

“I think we spend too much time complaining… we can sit all day and discuss matters and never find any solutions… but if we come together, there’s a lot that can actually be done and achieved,” said Shezi.
