Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is on the verge of creating history by becoming the first wrestler to reach 1000 days as champion in the modern era wrestling.

Reigns defeated Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a No Holds Barred Triple Threat Match back in 2020 to be crowned champion.

The 38-year-old wrestler has been on a winning streak since and even formed a formidable stable called The Bloodline with his cousins The Usos.

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash talked about The Tribal Chief on the recent edition of his Kliq This podcast where he called Reigns the top guy.

“Roman Reigns. He’s been champion for almost a thousand days. There’s nobody else that matters but him. He’s the only legitimate guy right now. If I’m gonna go out there and definitely feel really bad the next day, I’ll do it with him, ” Nash said in a podcast.

Reigns began his WWE career as part of a faction called “The Shield” and was well-received by critics.

His popularity started to decline when WWE transitioned his role to a heroic main event singles act in 2014, as many fans and critics felt his push was forced.

Reigns will go on to become the face of the company for years to come, main eventing four consecutive editions of WrestleMania events despite being booed in all four appearances.

In 2018, Reigns, who’s real name is Joe Anoa’i, made a public announcement on Monday night Raw that he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He immediately relinquished his title and stepped away from the company for four months.

In February 2019, Reigns returned and told the fans he was in remission and ready for WrestleMania 35.

After Covid-19 pandemic hit, he took time off again and returned at SummerSlam 2020 where he took on the “Tribal Chief” persona, leading the Bloodline faction.

A NEW CHANGE GAVE LIFE TO THE “HEAD OF THE TABLE”

His new change was widely praised by fans and critics and has made Reigns the biggest superstar in the company since the departure of John Cena.
