Dragon Ball Super: NEW season reportedly on the way

Dragon Ball Super fans can now rejoice knowing that there’s a new season coming out soon.

Growing up in South Africa in the early 2000s means you probably were glued to your television at 17:00 every weekday to watch Dragon Ball Z on SABC2.

THE POPULAR ANIME IS SET TO RETURN ONCE MORE

According to High on Cinema, the reputable Dragon Ball leakers DBSChronicles, revealed that the story of Goku and his friends will continue after the Universe Survival Saga.

The leaks even claimed that the anime was already in production and would begin airing late in 2023.

The manga adaptation of the show have been ongoing since the show last aired in 2018.

Dragon Ball Super aired for the first time back in 2015 and introduced Gods of Destruction, parallel universes, Super Saiyan Blueand more. All these additions have helped the franchise expand and tell different stories.

Although Super is seen as a sequel to the more popular Dragon Ball Z, it’s actually an interlude as it takes place during a ten-year timeskip after the defeat of Kid Buu.

DRAGON BALL SUPER’S WAS A SUCCESS ACROSS THE GLOBE

During the 10 year skip, Goku has fought and defeated Freeza for the seconf time and also went into the future timeline with Trunks and Vegeta to battle Black Goku and Zamasu.

As Dragon Ball Super‘s story continued, we saw the Tournament of Power where Goku fight Jiren in one of the best fights in anime history.

Following the conclusion of Super in 2018, two new movies were released: Broly and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.

The manga has continued to be published with its story getting closer and closer to the End of Z.

The latest chapter focuses on teen Trunks and Goten in high school.
