Thabo Bester’s virtual court appearance – in a Burberry hoodie – is the talk of Twitter streets, and so is the price tag!

Despite being behind bars at the Kgosi Mampuru prison in Pretoria, the convicted criminal showed off his fashion finesse.

Alongside his co-accused – including alleged partner Nandipha Magudumana- he faces up to 16 criminal charges, including fraud, violating a body, corruption, arson, escaping from lawful custody, and defeating the ends of justice.

Thabo Bester will next appear in court on 20 June and will remain behind bars. It’s unclear if he will appear virtually or in person at his next court appearance.

THABO BESTER’S BURBERRY HOODIE – HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Like his co-accused Nandipha Magudumana, Thabo Bester’s court appearance had tongues wagging.

The convicted rapist, murderer, and fraudster sported a designer look – a Burberry hoodie. Also, like Nandipha, Bester sported a new hairstyle.

The smooth-talking criminal shaved off his long black locks, reverting to a buzz cut previously seen in past court appearances and pictures.

According to Burberry.com, Bester’s Prorsum Label Cotton Hoodie costs R18 000.

PRISON FASHION AND THE PRICE TAG

Thabo Bester is no stranger to designer brands.

In his first court appearance, Bester wore a beige Nike two-piece tracksuit which cost around R3000.

Upon his return to South Africa, after being extradited from Tanzania, where he was nabbed, Bester wore an Under Armour hoodie, which costs around R1000.
