Kaizer Chiefs attacker Ashley du Preez is feeling good this morning, thanks to the Premier Soccer League and Amakosi supporters’ votings.

We can still all remember that goal. Du Preez’s wonderful strike against Chippa United in Gqeberha during April has won the Goal of the Month.

The news was confirmed by the league via social media on Tuesday.

AMAKHOSI TO SIGN RANGA CHIVAVIRO?

Staying with Chiefs, the DStv Premiership giants are reportedly chasing Marumo Gallants’ 30-year-old striker Chivaviro.

Scoring a total of 17 goals in the PSL and the CAF Confederation Cup as a striker is what leads clubs to call your agent. According to reports, Marumo Gallants’ Chivaviro is wanted by Amakhosi and other clubs on the continent.

With Gallants relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship (MFC) and a Chivaviro with a contract renewal option on his deal, some business needs to be made.

“Ranga signed a year with an option of a year,” Gallants’ chairman Abram Sello told FARPosts‘ Mthokozisi Dube.

“We will sit down with him and his agent to discuss the future now that we will play in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

“Yes, we triggered the option, but with us going to the Motsepe Foundation, we will have to look into the issue,” Sello added about the well-traveled striker who has been at Witbank Spurs, Cape Town All Stars, FC Cape Town, Ubuntu, Baroka FC, TS Sporting, KF Trepca (Kosovo), and Venda Football Academy.

According to FARPost, Amakhosi have started chatting with the Limpopo-born player’s representatives.

“The club has contacted Ranga’s management team and expressed interest in signing him. If all goes well, they’ll meet this week and discuss the potential transfer,” the source told FARPost.
