Domestic airline Airlink is adding two more routes to its roster of destinations South Africans can fly to in Africa.

According to a statement, the airline will open flights between Johannesburg and Lilongwe and Blantyre in Malawi from 23 September 2023.

Malawi will become the 16th country to be included in Airlink’s route network which includes Kenya, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique and Madagascar.

Airlink will fly comfortable and efficient 37-seat Embraer Regional Jets on both new routes, which will operate three times a week.

Flights include a 20kg free luggage allowance.

Passengers will be treated to a complimentary light meal, refreshments and a choice of aisle or window seat (aircraft do not have middle seats).
