Upgrade of Sea Point promenade and Granger Bay officially complete
The City of Cape Town has announced that it has completed the upgrades along the Sea Point Promenade and Granger Bay parking area.

The City of Cape Town recently announced that it has completed the upgrade of the Sea Point promenade and Granger Bay parking area.
The City said it began the project in May last year, but delays occurred due to the poor performance of the previous contractor.
Although the project originally had a 12-month deadline, the City extended the timeline. The upgraded Granger Bay parking and landscaping in Sea Point are now open for use.
Granger Bay gets a facelift
“We thank residents for their patience while the works were under way and apologise for the prolonged construction period. Residents from across Cape Town can now enjoy the newly upgraded Granger Bay parking area and landscaping.” the City’s Deputy Mayor and Mayoral Committee Member for Spatial Planning and Environment, Alderman Eddie Andrews, said.
“The completion of the footway and coping at the Rocklands Beach is still due for repairs in the coming months pending a structural assessment of the concrete slab supporting the footway. We will keep residents informed of the progress,” Alderman Andrews added.
