FlySafair adjusts flight schedules in anticipation of possible pilot strike
FlySafair has adjusted several flights that could be impacted by a potential pilot strike. Here are the details…

FlySafair announced schedule changes for several flights between Tuesday, 22 July, and Monday, 28 July 2025, as it prepares for possible strike action by its pilots.
The airline made this move after wage negotiations with the trade union Solidarity broke down.
Although a strike has not been confirmed, FlySafair is acting proactively to minimise disruption for its operations and customers.
Flights rescheduled: What does it mean for travellers?
The potential strike comes after recent salary negotiations with the airline failed, when FlySafair and the Solidarity trade union hit a wall after three months of prolonged discussions.
The vast majority of Solidarity members rejected the airline’s final offer of a 5.7 percent salary increase plus additional compensation adjustments.
FlySafair Chief Marketing Officer Kirby Gordon told BusinessTech that these changes impact only selected flights during the specified dates.
The airline will contact affected customers directly using the information they provided when booking.
“We have no line of sight as to whether a strike will take place and if so, for how long and to what extent, but we’ve decided to act preemptively to ensure that any possible disruptions are minimised.” Gordon said, as per BusinessTech.
Customers are encouraged to visit the FlySafair website to check their booking status and, if needed, rebook onto alternative flights at no extra cost.
