Study reveals the most tourist-packed destinations on the planet
A recent study has identified the world’s most overcrowded tourist spots and detailed the annual number of visitors each receives.

Go2Africa recently conducted a study ranking the world’s most overcrowded destinations by comparing tourist numbers to local populations.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the data showed that Vatican City topped the list. Although it has only 882 residents, this tiny European country draws around 6.8 million tourists each year, amounting to 7,709 visitors per local.
More tourists than residents at these top destinations
Next up was Andorra, located between France and Spain, with 9.6 million tourists a year compared to its 81 938 local population.
Rounding out the top three spots was San Marino, near north-central Italy, which sees 2 million travellers each year and is home to 33 581 people.
