West Coast National Park opens its gates for wildflower season
SANParks has declared the start of the annual wildflower season at West Coast National Park. Here’s everything you should know…

South African National Parks (SANParks) has officially kicked off the 2025 wildflower season at West Coast National Park (WCNP).
From 1 August to 30 September 2025, the park will open the Postberg section to the public, giving visitors a rare chance to witness one of South Africa’s most breathtaking natural displays.
SANParks advised visitors to plan their trips for sunny weekdays, as wildflowers usually reach their peak between mid-August and mid-September, and this timing helps avoid heavy traffic at the gates while ensuring the best views.
