Kaizer Chiefs, Sundowns dominate Carling All Stars XI
This year’s Carling All Stars team will be coached by Golden Arrows mentor Manqoba Mngqithi who’ll reunite with a few of his former players.
Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have more players in the Carling All Stars XI than any other team.
The Carling All Stars will take on Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 13 December.
KickOff is at 15:30.
On Tuesday, the PSL announced the official Carling All Stars XI as voted for by the fans.
And both Chiefs and Sundowns have four players each. Sekhukhune United, Siwelele FC and Marumo Gallants are also represented.
Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Petersen will lead from the back alongside Keabetswe Khonyane (Siwelele), Vincent Sithole, Thabo Nkabinde (both Sundowns) and Sikhosonke Langa (Sekhukhune).
Marcelo Allende, Thulani Mabaso (Chiefs), Phillip Ndlondlo and Mfundo Vilakazi will form part of the Carling All Stars XI’s midfield.
Arthur Sales and Naledi Hlongwane (Chiefs) will lead the attack with the hope of scoring against Orlando Pirates.

PIRATES LIKELY TO FIELD FRINGE PLAYERS
With the majority of first team players on national duty for the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), Pirates are likely to field fringe players.
The Buccaneers have nine players in the Bafana Bafana squad, and this means Abdeslam Ouaddou will be forced to make changes.
Players such as Melusi Buthelezi and Tshegofatso Mabasa who could leave in January, are likely to feature.
