Sundowns transfer news: Maseko set to make way for Saleng
Mamelodi Sundowns are to make space for Monnapule Saleng by loaning out Thapelo Maseko who hasn’t been a regular this season.
Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Thapelo Maseko could be loaned out to Cypriot club AEL Limassol until the end of the season.
Maseko has struggled for game time since joining Sundowns from the now-defunct SuperSport United.
He was previously linked with a possible move to Limassol but the move never materialised as Sundowns held on to him.
However, it appears Limassol haven’t given up on acquiring his services as SABC Sport reports that a verbal agreement has been reached with Sundowns.
Maseko’s possible departure simply means Sundowns are prepared to make space for Monnapule Saleng.
Saleng was signed directly from Orlando Pirates, joining a growing list of players who left the Soweto giants for Chloorkop.

SUNDOWNS TO MAKE SPACE FOR SALENG
“SABC Sport can confirm that Mamelodi Sundowns have reached a verbal agreement with Cypriot club AEL Limassol for the loan signing of winger Thapelo Maseko until the end of the season,” reads the report.
WAS MASEKO INFLUENTIAL AT THE BRAZILIANS?
Maseko proved to be influential in the early stages of his career with Sundowns as he got regular game time.
However, things went South for him, and he later lost his place in the Bafana Bafana setup.
Maseko has managed to play just seven games for Sundowns this season without finding the back of the net.
Overall, the 22-year-old has featured 45 times for the Brazilians, scored three goals and registered just one assist.
