KAIZER CHIEFS BREAK SIX-YEAR UNWANTED RECORD WITH NEDBANK CUP EXIT

Now, according to OptaJabu, Chiefs are the first defending Nedbank Cup champions to be ousted in the Last 32 since TS Galaxy in 2020.

Ironically, TS Galaxy had been crowned Nedbank Cup champions at the expense of Chiefs in 2019.

However, in 2020, as defending champions, the Rockets were booted out of the same competition in the Last 32.

WHAT’S NOW ON OFFER FOR AMAKHOSI?

Amakhosi will now shift focus on trying to win both the CAF Confederation Cup and the Betway Premiership.

As things Chiefs are very much in the title race with 15 league games to go although some believe they can not win it.

Meanwhile, they need a win and a draw in their remaining two group matches to advance to the knockout stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
