New coaching requirements for CAF clubs, national teams competitions
CAF has released more strict coaching requirements for clubs and national teams competitions ahead of the upcoming football season.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released new coaching requirements for its clubs and national teams competitions.
These requirements mean coaches who don’t comply would NOT be able to sit on the bench for any of CAF related competitions.
According to CAF, head coaches are required to have at least CAF A or other confederations Pro Licences for all their competitions.
This includes the CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup, Super Cup, Africa Cup of Nations (qualifiers and final phase), and CHAN (qualifiers and final phase).
The requirements also apply to the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and Women’s CAF Champions League (qualifiers and final phase)
For assistant coaches, a CAF A Licence and CAF B (Women) or other Confederations Pro is a requirement for the abovementioned competitions.
