CAF announces postponement of 2026 WAFCON!
CAF had been expected to make a decision on whether to postpone or have Morocco’s WAFCON hosting rights given to a different country.
The Confederation of African (CAF) has officially announced the postponement of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The tournament, scheduled for Morocco, was set to kick off on 17 March and end on 3 April.
However, the state of readiness or a lack of it forced CAF to reschedule this WAFCON tournament to new dates.
According to a statement released by CAF, the continental showpiece will now be played between 25 July and 16 August.
