Beyonce’s fans have been staving for Renaissance visuals. The global hitmaker released her seventh studio album in 2022 but since its release, fans have not been given even a single snippet of visuals from the platinum-selling album. Beyonce has notably not released a video, a teaser or any other kind of visual story from the record. All that is about to change when Renaissance, the film, releases in cinemas worldwide next month. South Africans won’t have to wait too long to be able to enjoy the cinematic experience after Ster Kinekor confirmed the date of its release.

WHERE, WHEN AND HOW TO WATCH BEYONCE’S FILM

In October 2023, after months of touring, Beyonce confirmed that a Renaissance film would be heading to cinemas. This is the singer’s first big blockbuster release since 2019’s Homecoming released on Netflix. Similar to that release, which captured her performance at the Coachella Festival in 2018, Renaissance will be a concert film, highlighting the best moments of her recently concluded tour.

The film will be released globally on the 1st of December 2023 and South Africans have been eagerly anticipating the local release of the film. Thankfully, if you’re a member of the Beyhive, you won’t have to wait too long to watch the concert film. According to local film distributor, Ster Kinekor, the film will be in cinemas from the moment that it’s available globally. That means South African fans will be able to watch Renaissance on the day it is released along with the rest of the world.
