Heritage Month Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. The competition closes on Monday at 5 pm (SA time) on 30 September 2019. Any entry received after this date will not be considered.
  2. Only one entry per person.
  3. The winner will be selected in a random draw on the evening of 30 September 2019. All valid online or email entries will be eligible for the prize.
  4. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Staff members of SA-People Limited and Protea, their partners and agencies, and immediate family members of these persons may not enter.
  6. The prize is not transferable and may not be sold. It may not be converted into cash or any other service provided by the hotel.
  7. Entrants must be 18-years-old or over.
  8. The competition is open to all members of SAReunited/SAPeople Connect and readers of SAPeople.com and followers of SAPeople on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
  9. Entry to this competition is free.
  10. The prize includes two nights’ accommodation only for two people sharing at selected Protea Hotels. (Each hotel allocates a certain number of rooms for prizes and complimentary accommodation. As a result, all applications for accommodation are subject to availability). Please note: school holidays, public holidays and long weekends are specifically excluded.
  11. The prize does not include meals, beverages or anything else other than the two nights’ accommodation. All meals and extra charges are payable in cash, or by credit card upon departure from the hotel.
  12. Transport to and from the hotel shall be the entire responsibility of the prize winner.
  13. The prize may not be included in any existing hotel package or special offer.
  14. The prize does not imply or cover any credit facilities with the hotel.
  15. The Prize Winner will be notified by email by an SA-People Limited representative. If the winner can not be contacted within 24 hours of the random draw, or if the winner does not meet the eligibility requirements outlined in these Competition Rules, then the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be selected.
  16. Protea Hotels reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the prize if, in their opinion, it is subject to misuse of any description.
  17. The competition winner may be requested to take part in promotional campaigns. You may decline this request. If the winner does take part in any publicity, s/he will not be entitled to any payment. SA-People Limited retains sole property of all publicity and other materials.
  18. SA-People Limited, Protea Hotels, and organisers are not responsible for any subsequent decline of acceptance of the prize for any reason whatsoever.
