TOP 10 COUNTRIES WITH THE HIGHEST ALCOHOL CONSUMPTIONThe consumption of alcohol in each country varies greatly by several factors including the country’s laws, culture, and other relevant factors. In a list compiled by the World Population Review in 2019, South Africa was not included in their list of top 10 countries with the highest alcohol consumption. However, the 10 countries that made the list are listed below:

    According to the Natural Institute of Health, it is said that alcohol is one of the leading reasons behind about half of non-natural deaths in South Africa. Drinking it is also said to play a significant role (up to 75 per cent) in homicides in the country.
