The PowerBall jackpot for the draw on Friday, 16 January 2026, has reached a staggering R165 million after no winners were found in the previous Tuesday draw.

According to the national lottery operator ITHUBA, the total prize pool for Friday is actually an eye-watering R198 million if you include the R33 million PowerBall Plus estimate.

PowerBall jackpot: Living like global superstar Black Coffee

If you manage to match all five numbers and the bonus ball this week, you could technically afford the ultimate South African celebrity starter pack.

DJ Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo, recently gave his followers a peek into his luxury lifestyle, which includes a R157 million mansion in Clifton and a customised R9 million Lamborghini.

The world-renowned DJ’s Cape Town villa, known as “The Pentagon”, was reportedly purchased for cash and features five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

Located on the exclusive Nettleton Road, the property boasts a glass elevator, a private cinema, a gym and an infinity pool with views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Twelve Apostles mountain range. As the new owner, your neighbours would include local business moguls and international stars like Idris Elba and Trevor Noah, who frequent the Atlantic Seaboard.

Customised wheels for your new driveway

To truly match Black Coffee’s aesthetic, you would also need to set aside R9 million for a baby blue Lamborghini Huracán STO. The DJ recently shared images of the customised supercar parked in his driveway following a December break at his new mansion.

While the house and the car combined total R166 million – just slightly over the main jackpot – dipping into the PowerBall Plus prize – which currently stands at R33 Million – would leave you with plenty of change to spare.
