NO CHARGES AGAINST DURBAN TAZZ DRIVER WHO RAN OVER ROBBER
The 43-year-old South African woman, Sandy-Lee Ward, faced danger when two attackers stormed her at a shopping centre, attempting to steal her handbag.

While driving out of the shopping centre, Ward was suddenly accosted by two men near the shopping centre entrance.
THE ATTACKERS STORMED HER VEHICLE AND ASSAULTED HER
According to a report by Maroela Media, in an attempt to force her out of the car, they reached through the window, ripping her door open. A physical struggle ensued as the attackers viciously assaulted her.
“They wanted to get me out of the car to steal it. They had my key in the ignition but couldn’t pull me out because my seat belt was on.”

In a desperate bid to protect herself and her belongings, Ward made a split-second decision that would change the course of events.
‘THE LORD PUT HIS FOOT ON MINE AND I JUST KEPT GOING’
“I didn’t plan it; it’s like I wasn’t thinking in that moment. I didn’t plan to hit him; I just wanted to get my handbag back,”she explained.
Ward engaged the ignition with remarkable courage, turned her car upside down, and pressed her foot on the gas pedal.

In doing so, she used her vehicle as a powerful deterrent, causing one of the attackers to be hit by the car and thwarting the robbery attempt.

“I can’t explain the fear I felt at that moment. All I could do was pray. The Lord just put his foot on my foot, and I just kept going.”
Ward reflected on the heart-pounding incident.
Ward’s quick thinking and extraordinary courage were met with awe and admiration from her community.
THE MAN WAS ARRESTED, AND THE HANDBAG WAS RECOVERED
The robber was arrested shortly after, and the woman’s handbag was recovered. The incident was captured on camera, and the video clip has gone viral.
