A Mpumalanga man has died after shooting and killing himself during a robbery. According to reports, the robber accidentally shot himself while he and a group of thugs were robbing a Mpumalanga home. The robber’s friends reportedly fled leaving him to bleed out. He was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injury.

South Africans who have heard his story appear to have no remorse for the robber who they are saying got what was coming for him.

THIEF SHOOTS HIMSELF DURING MPUMALANGA ROBBERY

A Mpumalanga robber has unwittingly become an example of what happens when you chase a life of crime after he reportedly shot and killed himself during a robbery gone wrong.

According to IOL, the man and a group of other thugs were robbing a home when he shot himself in the leg and later died in hospital.

The man was reportedly trying to retrieve a wallet inside the car he and his accomplices stole from one of their victims when his gun went off.

“According to information, the suspect with the firearm, while trying to take a wallet which was inside the stolen car, the VW Jetta, somehow accidentally shot himself in the leg,” Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said.

SA HAS NO REMORSE

Reacting to the news, South African social media users spared no kind words for the thief who was reportedly left at the scene to die by his fellow robbers.

“I wish that for all robberies,” one person wrote, while another added, “Wehh, the victim has next-level protection. This is like those guys who fell asleep while robbing a house.”
