ESKOM ON PLANS TO RESTORE MORE THAN 2 700MW OF GENERATION

Eskom plans to restore 2 730MW of generation capacity before the evening peak on Monday, 23 June 2025.

The power system remains stable, with sufficient emergency reserves strategically deployed to meet demand during the morning and evening peaks.

From 13 to 19 June 2025, Eskom maintained over 3 600MW through planned maintenance, which led to a reduction in planned outages.

Additionally, diesel usage is expected to decline as more units return to service from long-term repairs.
