What’s happened to McD Chilli Cheese Double?

McDonald’s(McD) has been a household name in South Africa since it first opened its doors in 1995. However patrons of the beloved American fast food chain are up in arm as they can’t get a hold of one of their favourite menu items, the famous chilli cheese double!

Famed for its signature Big Mac burger, McDonald’s is a firm favourite amongst individuals of all ages, especially children and students with the latter loving it for being value for money.

If you’re a fan of the Chilli Cheese Double, you’d be hard-pressed to locate a McD that will serve your favourite spicy burger of choice.

The fast food chain has yet to officially given a state on whether or not it has discontinued the burger or not, employees at the McDonald’s have let customers know that there is difficulty in getting the sauce from suppliers.

Unfortunately, the lack of sauce affects not only the chilli cheese burger but also the chilli cheese fries as they use the very same sauce.

I seriously need to learn to make my own chilli cheese fries because Mcdonalds taking it off their menu every second week and making it so expensive is not working for me

Customers were certainly not happy.

@nam_andiyaz, “Why do you guys discontinue the things we like to eat? First it was the chillies cheese fries. Now the chilli cheese double.”

“McDonald’s discontinuing the Chilli Cheese Double is where they lost me as a customer”, says @wnglth.

In reply, McDonald’s says “We apologize for the inconvenience; however, we could not guarantee the supply of our McFlavour Fries and Chilli Cheese Double.”

In the time being others have chosen to go with McD’s competitor Burger King for their chilli cheese fix.
