SASSA WARNS OF DOUBLE GRANT PAYMENT FAKE NEWS

SASSA warned beneficiaries about false reports claiming it would issue a double grant payment in August 2025. The fake message alleged that the agency would pay grants on Monday, 12 August 2025, supposedly to offer extra support to recipients.

The agency alerted its beneficiaries only to take information from their official SASSA social media pages, which are Facebook (SASSA News), X (@OfficialSASSA), TikTok (@officialsassanews), WhatsApp Channel (SASSA_Official), YouTube (South African Social Security Agency) and on Instagram (sassa10_za).
