BETRAYAL?

This is not the first time that Busiswa has set tongues wagging for her drastic weight loss.

In 2020, she received mixed reactions as all of her bigger fans felt she had betrayed them by joining the other squad, especially as a body positive activist.

Following concern from her fans, all the singer could say was: “I can explain.”

Her weight loss came after she posed in a #IAmMe campaign by Ackermans that featured her with some of Mzansi’s favourite celebrities, actress Rami Chuene, TV presenter Kim Jayde, TV presenter Minki van der Westhuizen and radio personality Pearl Modiadie.

The personalities posed in their lingerie to create a hashtag movement of women proud to show their true selves and embracing their flaws and imperfections. However, Busiswa was body shamed.
