Bafana Bafana got off their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign off to a flying by beating Angola 2-1 on Monday.

Oswin Appollis opened the scoring in the 21st minute but Angola rallied and equalised through Manuel Cafumana.

Nonetheless, Lyle Foster stole the points for Bafana Bafana with a stunner of a goal in the 79th minute.

Bafana Bafana are now in pole position to advance to the knockout stages of the AFCON having sent a statement of intent.

In fact, they could have won by a bigger margin had they taken their goalscoring chances created on the night.

Substitute Tshepang Moremi had his goal ruled out by VAR in the second half while Mbekezeli Mbokazi hit the crossbar with a fierce attempt.
